Akhil Bharatiya Backward and Dalit Varg Kalyan Sangthan (Reg. Orgnization) has been working for the last 25 years in the interest of the people and the poor. Our organization has done many commendable works. The organization has been taking advantage of the experience of Dr. Ramesh Verma, Founder President of the organization, from time to time. The economic condition of our institution is not good because of the close relation between honest and influential people of the organization. Public works are done only by private donations
You (Dr. Ramesh Verma) have been awarded the President’s Medal for commendable work on January 26, 2022, for the work he has done for the national in public service, his love for the nation in public interest of the people.
For the last 25-30 years, he did commendable work, especially in covid-19, he supported the patients. He got the patients admitted to the hospital, provided medicines to the needy and BED in the hospital and got the vaccination done. Provided ration to poor people and helped thousands of Covid patients in many ways.
Dr. Ramesh Verma is an active social worker. He is working for the welfare of weaker section people at the grass root level from last 30 years. Dr. Verma is currently serving as national Founder President of Akhil Bhartiya Backward and Dalit Varg Kalyan Sangthan (Regd.), Patron of Federation of RWA of CGHS Area Mayur Vihar – 1 (Regd.). He was also the Founder President of M.V.T welfare Association (Regd.) etc. He has been running the NGO as a Founder President under the name Akhil Bhartiya Backward and Dalit Varg Kalyan Sangthan (Regd.) which is providing free education to children belonging to poor and down trodden section of society. Dr. Ramesh Verma secured maximum votes in the election 2014 for the Managing Committee of Anand Lok CGHS Ltd. Mayur Vihar -1 Delhi. This Society is of UPSC employee consisting of mostly retired/ Serving I.P.S, IAS and other senior officers. His efforts were applauded by local public when he distributed pensions to widows who were in dire need of financial assistance.

Dr. Ramesh Verma was promoted to the rank of Addl. Chief Warden, Civil Defence, East Delhi District. He continues to hold this rank of Addl. Chief Warden Civil Defence till date. He has exceptional leadership qualities. He has done marvellous piece of work in Civil Defence in the field of security of citizens. Dr. Ramesh Verma completed his school education in 1982 from Mandawali Government School (Delhi govt.), he actively participated in school sports and was captain of the school cricket team, after that he took admission in Kirori Mal College, Delhi University for pursuing his graduation. He completed his Diploma in Unani Medicine from Tibbiya College registration with Bhartiya Chikitsa Parishad U.P. Dr. Ramesh Verma participated in two courses in the year 2002 and 2018 at the National Civil Defence College, Nagpur, Ministry of Home Affairs (Govt. Of India) and also successfully completed a Capsule Course Training organised by DGHG and CD. He also attended training on Basic Training on Civil Defence from 16/02/1997 to 23/03/1997 and successfully passed.

- Food, medicines, masks, sanitizers and vaccinations to more than 60 thousand people during the COVID-19 pandemic arrangements were made and people were made aware in many to avoid the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Awareness was made through women empowerment and skill development program in collaboration with the government.
- More than 2000 police personnel, people associated with the judiciary and students were made aware about the prevention of drug abuse.
- More than 1000 Students got benefited from free training etc.

GLIMPSE OF WORK DONE BY DR RAMESH VERMA IN THE FIELD OF PUBLIC INTEREST
WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT OF DOWN TRODDEN:
Dr. Ramesh Verma has been engaged in the welfare and development of the down trodden and needy for more than one decade. He has imparted free computer education to poor children and distributed pensions to widow who were in dire need of financial assistance through his NGO Akhil Bhartiya Backward and Dalit Varg Kalyan Sangthan (Regd.). Joint Director, Ministry of Social Welfare was impressed with the work being done by Dr. Ramesh Verma as social activist and appreciated the efforts vide his letter dated 27/03/1995. NGO of Dr. Ramesh Verma was recommended by D.K.S (Delhi Govt.) for the grant of Rs. 1,50,000/- on date 15/06/2010 but the fund were not released as Dr. Ramesh Verma did not succumb towards corrupt practices being followed in then D.K.S (Delhi Govt.). During the period 2008-2010, Dr. Ramesh Verma imparted free computer education and coaching to students belonging to down trodden section of society. These students were awarded certificate by DOEACC Centre, Chandigarh an autonomous body of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India.
Organised awareness generation project for rural and poor women in the year 2006-2007 under Delhi social Welfare Board Camp (Delhi Govt.) also reported by S.D.M dated 20/10/2011 as he agreed to undertake commendable work of this institute ( Akhil Bhartiya Backward and Dalit Varg Kalyan Sangthan (Regd.)) in his letter no SDM/PV/2011-2482.
Dr. Ramesh Verma has been giving full support to every kind of public and poor people for many years. Dr. Ramesh Verma’s work has been praised by many officers including District Officer (D.M. letter dated 25/01/2018) in writing.
SAVING HUMAN LIFE:
Dr. Ramesh Verma saved the life of a boy called Anand on 20/01/1998 who met serious road accident and was in dire need of bold Dr. Verma not only took the boy to hospital but also donated his bold at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi . His efforts were appreciated by the Central Government Employee residents Welfare Association.
During Gujarat Earthquake 2001, Dr. Ramesh Verma rendered immense help in the form of medicine, clothes and financially also for providing immediate relief to the Victims in Bhuj, Gujrat. Keeping in view , sincere efforts of Dr. Ramesh Verma , his name was recommended for President’s Medal for the year 2002 and 2006 by Director Civil Defence and Directorate General of Home Guards(Govt. Of NCT of Delhi) but lack of political approach prevented Dr. Ramesh Verma from receiving this prestigious award.
In another road accident on 9/09/2004, involving a UPSC employee who was in critical condition, Dr. Ramesh Verma rendered immense help and took the employee to the hospital so that he could get timely treatment Sh. Jatinder Kumar, then Deputy Secretary, UPSC took cognisance of the situation and recognised the efforts of Dr. Ramesh Verma with his letter dated 24/04/2006.
He also saved the life of a boy named Puran Chand R/o T-650, MH4B, Durga Mohalla, Baljit Nagar, West Patel Nagar who met with Bus accident Dr. Verma timely took him to the RML hospital and saved his life.
In March 1997, there was a fire in Shram Shakti Bhawan, Rafi Marg, Dr. Ramesh Verma immediately telephoned the fire control office and helped in controlling the fire. Sh. Chauhan, then Fire Officer of Connaught Place Fire Station lauded the efforts. Dr. Ramesh Verma also assisted in the search and rescue work of Delhi Metro Railway Bridge that collapsed in Vikas Marg on 19/10/2008 and awarded with commendation certificate by Director Civil Defence.
Dr. Verma saved life of a person by dragging him out of the Burning car on 19/03/2018 and immediately called the number 100, the Victim was saved by reaching hospital immediately in ambulance no. DL 1A 2825.
LAW AND ORDER/ CIVIL DEFENCE
Dr. Ramesh Verma joined the directorate of Home Guards and Civil Defence as Post Warden in 1991. He was promoted as Divisional Warden in Division no 73, Parliament Street. On 23/12/1995, he was promoted to the Rank of Deputy Chief Warden, New Delhi District. Currently Dr. Ramesh Verma is serving as Additional Chief Warden, Civil Defence, East Delhi District.
Dr. Verma has been actively bringing the issues pertaining to law and order situation in the area before concerned authorities. He wrote the letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding non – registration of FIR by Delhi Police and increasing cases of burglaries Smt. S Sudha , then Under Secretary to the Government of India , Ministry of Home Affairs , vide her letter dated 17/09/2010 informed about the enquiry being done on the complaint by Jt. Commissioner of Police, New Delhi Range. On 23/04/2002 at 5:30 pm Dr. Ramesh Verma had caught one thief red handed and handed over the said thief at local Police Station. Even the information of this was also conveyed to Controller Office (C.D). Police recovered one briefcase and other articles from the said thief.
During Kargil War, Dr. Ramesh Verma organised meetings and demonstrations on public and social issues. He organised a meeting on 24/06/1999 wherein 35 Civil Defence Volunteers attended it for keeping vigilance. The Zonal Controller (CD)/ACP was also present in the meeting to advise the volunteers.
Dr. Ramesh Verma has made hundreds of representation in the form of letters and other sources to all competent authorities including Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble President of India etc, for the welfare of poor and downtrodden section of society.
